FAQ

Questions, answered.

I already use the free MotionKit. What happens to it?

Nothing — PRO installs as its own panel, next to the free one. Your saved curves carry over. Keep both, or remove the free one once PRO is set up.

How do I install and activate it?

Drag the .zxp onto the free ZXP Installer, restart After Effects and open Window → Extensions → AM MotionKit PRO. Paste the licence key from your Gumroad receipt and click Activate.

How many computers can I use it on?

Up to five, for one person. If you run out — a new laptop, a reinstall — deactivate it in the panel's About screen, or write on the Discord and I'll reset your key.

Does it need an internet connection?

Only to activate. After that it works offline and checks your licence quietly once a week when it can. It only asks you to connect if it hasn't been able to check for 60 days.

Are updates included?

Every 1.x update is included. The panel shows a small dot on the version number when a new one is out, and you download it again from your Gumroad library.

Which versions of After Effects does it work with?

After Effects 2023 and later, on macOS and Windows — in any language of After Effects.

Can I try it first?

The free MotionKit is the same panel with the same feel — try it, and go PRO when you want the extra tools. You can also press every button in the live demo at the top of this page.

Something isn't working. Where do I get help?

Press Ctrl/Cmd + Z — every action is a single undo. Then tell me on the MotionLabs Discord what you were doing and what the status bar at the bottom of the panel said.
